So she returns!! At last. Phoenix got home last night at about ten o'clock. Boy can she chat up a storm!! Her grandparents said that they thoroughly enjoyed her. She said that she had a lot of fun with her cousins. I have a feeling she really liked being the only child for awhile:) Today her and Thayden were up to their usual mayhem. Let me tell ya the house is back up to the usual volume once again!
By the way wasn't fall supposed to start a couple of days ago. Here we are almost October and it's still in the eighties! What is up with that? The only reason I complain is that fall is my favorite time of year. I love the colors, the weather, and most of all the smell of the changing leaves. Every year it seems to get shorter and shorter by the impending Utah snow yet it starts later cause of the hot sun! If I had it my way fall would be the longest season!! I hope we don't have a winter like last year. It snowed till the week before our Hawaii trip.....that was in May! Oh well it could be worse......it could be Arizona!(it's beautiful but so incredibly hot.) Any way I'm glad our princess is home and I have my little chatter box back safe and sound:)

Waiting....
Phoenix comes home today yeah!! She wont be here till later but I'm so excited to see her. I've talked to her everyday but that's just not the same. Usually I have something to do doing the day....so I'm bored with out her. I went to the gym and had my but handed to my yet again. Really why can't fat just melt off!! So I am so proud of CJ. We have been eating super duper healthy. And I don't mean you know just cutting back a little, or not snaking, I mean full out no processed food, son sugar, no fat, no refined flour....nothing! He has not complained once! He just goes with my new craziness and is supportive. He even went to the gym with me yesterday....on his day off. Who could ask for a better support team or husband for that matter:) So I have to fit into this red satin dress by December. That's my goal please someone make me stick to it. I figured last year my goal was the moab half. This year it's going to be this dress. I want to look sensational at CJ's work Christmas party this year. Is that so much? So dang it I'm eating good and working out 6 days a week it's bound to work right? I wish this crap was instant! Oh well off to lift weights before the boys get home and I've got to get the house clean before Phoenix gats home so we can play:)

The house is so quiet
So Phoenix has been in Arizona with CJ's parents four the last four days and she wont be back until late Wednesday night. :( I know that she's having fun but our house is so quiet. I can't even picture our home with out her. She brings so much life to our family. She always talks my ear off during the day while her brothers are at school. In fact it was really funny today because Mikah came down stairs after getting ready for school and he asked me if he should stay home so that I don't get lonely. Am I tthat obvious or what?!..It was so cute how the boys want to take care of me. Phoenix calls everyday and asks if she can talk to the boys. Yet when their together they fight like cats and dogs. Go figure.

Where our story begins continued
So that story got a little long yesterday so I thought that I would save the rest for today. So I had no intention on calling him. Well a few days later I happened to be at the restaurant but not working when you know who showed up with his best friend to claim is half off meal. There I was again caught off guard by this stranger. I tried to run to the back before he saw me but the server on duty shoved a tray off chips in my hand and asked me to seat them. So I sat them and we talked for a quick moment and then I left. While I was in the parking lot I got this inkling to leave a note with my number on his car. What was I thinking!! What if he sees me then I will feel really stupid. So I scribbled it out as fast as I could, put it under the wiper blade, and ran for my car. Now that I think back it really wasn't that big of a deal but at the time I was scarred to death. What would I say if he called......(oh well cross that bridge when it gets here). A couple of days passed and I didn't hear for the notorious CJ. So I figured that he wasn't interested. Later that week I was at work yet again excepted this time I was closing with the manager on duty so it was really late. I walked out to my car and to my surprise there lay a small white piece of paper under my wiper!! On it, it explained that I must have switched some of the numbers around (shocking) but if I wanted to hang out then to call him. So I did this time and the rest is history. We dated for a while even though I was convinced on our first date that this was the one I was going to marry:) We were married on August 4, 2000 (which is also his birthday) He wanted it that way. We have a set of identical twin boys who were born two months before the wedding. They were a big bundle of surprise all around. But I thank my heavenly father for them everyday because I truly believe that they are the glue that stuck us together at first. They were conceived very early in our relationship. Any way I wouldn't trade them for the world. Our little princess came along in October of 2003. And our little man joined our family just 18 months ago. I couldn't be happier or more blessed than to have the wonderful husband and children that we do. We are hoping to add a new little spirit in the near future:) Well now you know our story. Great things can some times come from strange beginnings.
Where our story begins
Our now quite large family came from small beginings. I am Brandi and I would like to share a little about my heaven on Earth. It all began on a very busy night at a little mexican resturaunt in Midvale, Utah. I hadn't been a server there long (in fact I think it was only my second night as a server) I had previously been a hostess. Anyway I was standing behind our serving station when I glanced up at the door which people had been pouring though for hours. We were on about a 30 minute wait when he passed under the doorway. When I looked up I was frozen. Couldn't move couldn't speak, nothing but of coarse stare. His sea green eyes had me locked. Now keep in mind at this point in my life I was just barely 18 and shy when it came to guys. So of course when my brain finally kicked in and my good sense was screaming "What are you doing" he had already seen me and blood rushed as fast as possible to every part of my face turning me the same color as the salsa I was pouring. Quickly I dropped my eyes and tried to ignore the rampage of butterflies suddenly in my belly. So trying to be as inconspicutious as possible (or so I thought) my body being as obvious as possible I tried to gather my shaking limbs and carry a tray of chips to a table in need of a snack. A fellow hostess picked up on this rather embarassing display and decided it would be entertaining to take it upon herself and seat this new distraction in my section!! Well you can probably guess how the rest of the night went. As I walked the tray of chips to the table he now sat, it took everything I had to not drop it in his lap. I got through the drink order and then the food. I turned quickly around and breathed a sigh of relief that I had not embarassed myself. The next 20 minutes or so were uneventfull and then it happened. I went back to check on him and his father to make sure their food was to their liking and he held up a piece of sharp plastic and asked me if I was trying to kill him. "Oh please tell me that was not in your food" anything but that. Sure enough it was. Lying there right under his enchilada! Uh.......was all that came out. Immediatly my face went through at least 10 shades of red before blossoming into a glorious purple. Why me? Quickly I ran back to beg my manager for some discount tickets, free meals, to fire me, anything to get me out of this situation. I came away with some half off coupons for the next time they were in. I appologized profusly and wrote off any chance of anything involving this lovley stranger in my future and handed him the coupons. What a nightmare! They said thank you and went up to the cashier to pay and I went and hid in the back. Later that night my manager pulled me aside and told me that he thought that the guy in table six liked me. You guess it the enchilada guy. "Whatever" was my reply. I thought he was trying to be funny. Then he held out their food ticket and on the back it said, "The service was great, I know you weren't trying to kill me." CJ and then his number. Well I certainly wasn't going to call him. After all he looked at least 3 years older than me and I was still in high school. Besides what on earth would I say " Hi I'm the girl who tried to kill you."
