Phoenix's room

So I kept myself pretty busy from Halloween to Christmas. I decided that since Phoenix's room hasn't been decorated yet I would do that for her big present. Wow what a project!! I also decided to make a quilt for each of the kids as well......let's just say that I won't be sewing for a while.

The new family member

This is Onyx. He is our newest addition. His name totally suits him. He is coal black and so shiney. He is 9 weeks old and was my Chrisymas gift to CJ this year. He loves him! I know I'm a tad on the crazy side you know with 1 schnauzer, 5 puppies from her ltter still at home, and now a new pug puppy, but what do you do when the timing is just a little off?......you roll with it:)

Tu-tus!!

These are some tutus that I made for my little sister. Phoenix loves them and really wishes they were for her. So I will probably be making more for her!! I wish that we had more girls in our family they are really fun to make:)

They're Here!!

Kya's puppies started arriving around 10 am. She was finished delivering all 5 by a little after 12 this afternoon. She did such a great job!! There are four little boys and one little girl. CJ got to watch the first one be born before he went to work. He was huge!! Phoenix got to watch the last two because she promised that she would be quiet:) Right! 500 questions later we had two more. "But I'm asking them quietly" She cracks me up:)

Halloween

Wow what a day!! First we had the boys' Halloween parade at their school. Let me just tell you how many kids go to their school! Holy crap we had to park a half a mile away and walk cause it was so packed. It was one of the warmest halloweens ever. Which was nice to not have to worry about snow this year. Later that night I did all their make-up and we set out for trick-or-treating. Poor CJ had to work so he had to miss all the fun. Well as soon as we started it started to rain:( Our neighborhood is still being built so the houses are really spread out. Needless to say we were extreamly wet by the time we returned!! None the less they made out like bandits and were extreamly happy for their stash. So now that that is over we are awaiting Kya's puppies. She's huge!! Anyday now they should be here. We can't wait.

Home Again!

So she returns!! At last. Phoenix got home last night at about ten o'clock. Boy can she chat up a storm!! Her grandparents said that they thoroughly enjoyed her. She said that she had a lot of fun with her cousins. I have a feeling she really liked being the only child for awhile:) Today her and Thayden were up to their usual mayhem. Let me tell ya the house is back up to the usual volume once again!

By the way wasn't fall supposed to start a couple of days ago. Here we are almost October and it's still in the eighties! What is up with that? The only reason I complain is that fall is my favorite time of year. I love the colors, the weather, and most of all the smell of the changing leaves. Every year it seems to get shorter and shorter by the impending Utah snow yet it starts later cause of the hot sun! If I had it my way fall would be the longest season!! I hope we don't have a winter like last year. It snowed till the week before our Hawaii trip.....that was in May! Oh well it could be worse......it could be Arizona!(it's beautiful but so incredibly hot.) Any way I'm glad our princess is home and I have my little chatter box back safe and sound:)
